About Galileo Wheel

Forget everything you know about tires. Meet the Galileo Wheel an innovation that overcomes the limitations of the conventional tire. The Galileo Wheel tire has a folding sidewall that allows the outer circumference to change its shape freely, and adapt to on road and off road conditions. A reduction in air pressure in the tire causes the sidewall to fold, not to collapse as in a standard tire, which results in far less heat generation and deformation. These features provide the Galileo Tire with:

  • a gigantic footprint at nearly 0 psi – far beyond anything the tire industry has seen before
  • natural run-flat capabilities at higher than usual speeds and practically no limited distance
  • structural stiffness for superb handling capabilities at any pressure
  • a rolling circumference that stays the same regardless of air pressure.

Applications currently under development include:

  • Farm tractors and other agricultural equipment: The Galileo Tires allow a small tractor to do a larger tractor’s job with minimal field damage.
  • Construction vehicles: Unprecedented safe maneuverability
  • Military vehicles: New standards for versatility tenaciousness and safety
  • Forestry: Previously unattainable combination of maneuverability and minimal ground damage

Essentially creating a new and better tire, Galileo looks to become the tire of choice for hundreds of applications and millions of on and off road vehicles.

Galileo’s strategy is to enter the large traditional tires’ market via partnerships based on its solid IP with leading tire companies. For entering into the agriculture market the company signed licensing agreement with Mitas, now under the Trelleborg group (world leader in Agriculture and Construction tires – link).
